I was blessed with parents who saw the value of wholesome living. We ate our own grass-fed beef, veggies from our garden, took supplements and got regular chiropractic adjustments. This felt as natural to me as breathing. In 1975, I graduated from Oregon State with a Bachelor of Science Degree. It never occurred to me that I would become a chiropractor until my mid-thirties.
But once the idea took hold, I was determined to follow my passion. With the support of my husband and young daughter, I enrolled at Western States Chiropractic College. In 1999, having recently graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from Western States Chiropractic College, I formed Avista Chiropractic in Portland, Oregon. I can't imagine what I would do in life that would bring me more enjoyment than being a chiropractor.
I have wonderful patients, many of which have been with me for 20 years. My treatment philosophy is to offer short term treatment plans with long term relief. I am very blessed in life I have a wonderful family, incredible co-workers, great friends and a career I love.
