After attending UCLA Dr. Edwards entered Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1991. Not wasting any time, Dr. Edwards opened his private practice in Santa Monica the same year he graduated. After no small degree of success at that location, he sold the practice to a multi-disciplinary organization and became part of that larger group in 1998.
In 2000, Dr. Edwards was appointed secretary of the corporation and a sitting member of the quality assurance committee with the responsibility of clinical oversight of all West Coast offices. In that role, he interfaced with all the offices to assure across-the-board compliance with the national guidelines for client/patient issues, and was responsible for oversight of guideline compliance of each individual doctor.
In fulfilling this compliance-oversight function, Dr. Edwards honed his documentation and record-keeping skills - an often under-appreciated, yet crucial factor in the protection of patient, doctor and organizational interests - and achieved the crucial skill of effectively interfacing with the "traditional" medical community.
